| Epilogue Graphic Novel (1996) A sequel came in a form of a manga that is considered in some circles as 'non-canon' because of inconsistencies such as the Jetman having visors instead of helmets, the mecha were beynd repair in the finale, the Neo Jetman had given away their birdonic waves to the Jetmen, and Radiguet was not known to have the ability to jump into other bodies or more than one. The manga is set five years after the series ended. Part One is called 'Time Gallops By' with four chapters and 'Soldier Running in the Sky' with seven chapters. The plot entails Radiguet returning for revenge using Tranza's human body and the Neo Jetman who are now in charge of defending the Earth but are pushed aside. Radiguet kidnaps the Neo Jetman and the Jetman, without the Birdonic Waves, rush out of retirement. Radiguet gains his own body and kidnaps Ryuu and Kaori's daughter Aya, transforming her into Ruma. The Jetman's new teammate Jeff makes sacrifices his new team. Ryuu Tendou / Red Hawk Ryuu is now a chief and at the beginning of the Manga, it is the first birthday of Koari and his daughter Aya, who was named after Chokan. When Radiguet challenged Ryuu and he went out of retirement, Ako and Raita at his side. Ryuu was severely beaten by Radiguet. He witnessed Radiguet get his body back. The Neo Jetman were angry at Ryuu on why he perosnally ahd to fight Radiguet and he told them that it was because Radiguet was after him. When Jeff came back to life thanks to Aya, Ryuu had to zap Jeff and Radiguet to kill Raidguet. Kaori Tendou / White Swan Kaori married Ryuu at the end of the series, she now tended to her one year old daughter Aya. When her husband, Raita and Ako went off to fight Radiguet, Chokan reassured Kaori that they were still part of the team and the fight even though they are not physically with them. Kaori, shocked, had to watch as Radiguet kidnapped her daughter. Ryuu and Kaori went through much discussion if they were going to fight when they discovered Radiguet transformed their faughter into Ruma. Ako Hayasaka / Blue Swallow Ako is now an idol singer and Jeff is a big fan. Ako was still quite mean to Chokan, in a playful way. Knowing that the new member Jeff had a crush on her and was having moral dilemmas, she considered him her responsiblity. Ako was exteremly upset at Jeff when he decided to sacrifice himself by being sprayed with Birdonic Waves to bring Aya back to life. She wanted a happy ending were he and Aya both survived. They did and Ako smacked Jeffrey when he believed he was in heaven. Raita Ooishi / Yellow Owl Raita and his childhood friend Satsuki has married and Satsuki is now pregnant. Raita and Satsuki decided to call the child they knew was a boy, Gai. Jeffrey Kensaki / Green Eagle Jeff Kensaki, a blue eyed and goldish-haired guitarist and vocalist for a band known as Black Eagle, was hit by a Birdonic Wave and he thought it was a shooting star. He blanked out when it and when he awoke, he was at Skyforce. He was recruited as Green Eagle. He wore earrings, one was a greek male symbol and the other greek symbol for female. The Jet Condor was repainted and renamed Jet Eagle. When faced with the dilema of fighting Aya's daughter, whose body that was transformed into Ruma, Jeff volunteered to face her. When Ryu announced he would take care of the situation, Jeff walked away from them. He then confessed to Ako his dark past, his mother tried to kill him at six years old, when she intended to kill herself afterwards. She never got herself to carry out her plan. When Ako embraced him, he blew it by saying the wrong thing. When he tried to pry Ruma from inside of the giant Miina, Radiguet's blade went through him and Ruma. As Aya died, she gave Jeff the power of Miina to continue fighting. Jeff resurrected, held Radiguet and had Ryuu shoot them. Radiguet then disintegrated and Jeff's wounds healed. To bring Aya back to life, Aya and Jeff were bathed with Birdonic Waves. Jeff's energy was transferred into Aya. In the afterlife, Jeff faced Aya and he convinced her to return. Rie and Gai gave their energy to bring Jeff and Aya back to life. Commander Chokan Chokan's real name is Aya. Kaori and Ryuu's daughter was named after her. She came to Aya's first birthday party. She reassured Kaori on Gai, Raita, and Ako's first excursion out of retirement that they were still part of the team even though they were not with them. Chokan also wasn't to mince words with Jeff when he wanted to transfer his energy to Aya to revive her. Radiguet Tranza is human and rendered helpless in a mental institution. One night, Radiguet comes to him and takes over his body. His frist course of action was to kill two doctors that came into Tranza's room. He kidnaps the Neo Jetman and the Jet Garuda to call out Ryuu. Just when Ryuu ws at his mercy, Tranza tried to take his body back from Radiguet. But Radiguet got his body back and Tranza was killed by Jet Icarus. Radiguet kidnapped Aya and made her into Ruma. He later shoved a blade through Ruma and Jeff thinking Jeff was Ryuu. Jeff came back to life and had Ryuu shoot him and Radiguet to kill Radiguet. Radiguet burned away. His spirit aimed to take over Jeff's body since it had Miina's power, the power of the Vyram. Tranza's spirit came for Radiguet and held him at bay and they were sent into the light of nothingness. Aya Tendou / Ruma Ryuu and Kaori's one-year old daughter is kidnapped by Radiguet and transformed into Ruma, seemingly fifteen years old claiming that Radiguet is her father. Yet she is lacks energy because she is young and needs to rest. Radiguet gives her a globe with a woman inside it, to create a giant robot Miina that would hold her inside. When Jeff tried to pry Ruma from inside of the giant Miina, Radiguet's blade went through Jeff and Ruma. Radiguet thought Jeff was Ryuu and meant it for him and Aya. Aya gave Jeff the power of Miina in the afterlife, reviving him from death. After the destruction of Miina's robot form, Ruma returned to Aya's infant form. To bring Aya back to life, Aya and Jeff were bathed with Birdonic Waves. Jeff's energy was transferred into Aya. In the afterlife, Jeff faced Aya and she didn't see the point of returning. She considered it her fault for everything that happened. Rie and Gai gave their energy to bring Jeff and Aya back to life. Aya returned back to normal. Tranza Tranza who was human and rendered helpless in a mental institution, his body was hijacked by Radiguet and then killed off by the Jetmen. When Radiguet's new body burned away, Tranza's spirit grabbed Radiget's spirit hurtling him into the light of nothingness. Miina Radiguet gave Ruma a small orb that created a giant robot around Ruma. When the robot was hurt, she was hurt. Ryuu and Jeff went inside to get Ruma out. When Jeff and Ruma were killed by Radiguet, Aya gave Jeff the power of Miina. Miina was destroyed in an explosion along with the spirits of Radiguet and Tranza. Later, Miina appeared in Jeff's chest, with no control. Ryu came up with the idea of using her power and Birdonic Waves to bring Aya back to life. In the afterlife plane of existence, she seemed to be on their side. |
