Shiro Akebono is the wild child of the team, known for his free-spirited nature and a strong affinity for animals and the outdoors. Having trained in Kenya, he developed the unique ability to communicate with wildlife.

Serving as Battle Kenya, he wields a whip in combat and performs a distinct tribal dance during the team's roll call. Outside of battle, Shiro is known for eating just about anything, though the strong smell of his cooking is frequently unappreciated by the other members of Battle Fever.

Years later, Shiro returned in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger to grant the team Battle Fever J's Greater Power. He also made a guest appearance in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger vs. Space Sheriff Gavan: The Movie.
