Known as the "silent cowboy," Makoto Jin is a reserved, action-oriented individual and a man of few words. A scientist trained within the National Defense Ministry alongside Kensaku, he joined Battle Fever to avenge his fallen friend's death.

Taking up the mantle of Battle Cossack, he wields twin sais and proves to be an expert marksman. Makoto is a natural loner who tends to operate independently, preferring to work by himself whenever possible.

Uniquely, he is also known to use a trumpet as a distraction against Egos during missions.
