Shiraishi is good at science as well as war. As Battle Cossack, he wielded twin sais and did a Cossack dance. He is the original second in command into the team. He left Big Baser without the Battle Cossack uniform and was murdered by the Eagle Monster, attempting to save a child from Egos in Episode 33. Cossack is the name given to people living in the southern region of Eastern Europe, which is now primarily the Ukarine and southern Russia. Originally Cossacks were runaway Ruthenian peasants who escaped Polish and Russian feudal pressure. They settled in the southern steppes.
